Frequently Asked Questions
How is each online lesson structured?
You will be required to join our live-stream during our regularly scheduled class time. During the session you will go through comprehensive note-taking, question practice and participate in activities that allow us to work on your weaknesses.
Is there homework?
Yes, homework is still assigned and instructions for submission will be explained clearly. We provide weekly grades and monthly reports to parents.
What if I miss an online class session?
We mark attendance for online classes the same as our physical students. If you miss a lesson we will require a reason as outlined in our absent policy. Each lesson is delivered live and is not recorded.
Can I attend classes physically?
Yes, all classes are capped at our standard class sizes of 6 for English/Science and 8 for Mathematics. We recommend attending physically, but given the concerns of COVID-19 you are welcome to study from home.
Update: From the 30th March 2020 – 4th May 2020 we will not be holding any physical classes. All classes will be held online.

The Discord Digital Tutoring Centre
Over the past few months, Stepping Stones Education has worked very hard to incorporate digital resources into the classroom. Students have 24/7 access to their class resources, notes and tutor feedback through Basecamp.
Now, students are now able to join into a live-stream broadcast of their enrolled class through Discord. Students will receive a premium learning experience as tutors will interact digitally with them and incorporate them into our classic classroom experience.
COVID-19 has caused a disruption to the standard learning environment and it is our number one priority to ensure students have the opportunity to continue their academic learning experience. Whilst our physical campus is temporarily closed until further notice, we will be offering this online classroom experience to all current and future students!
While Discord is branded as a communication platform for gamers, it is widely being used by more businesses to connect online with one another. Click on the image below to read more about the software as a parent.
